About Wey West Legal

Wey West Legal and Complex Health Care Systems

Wey West Legal was formed to support health care providers of all types, sizes, and specialties to better navigate the complexities of the health care payment system in the U.S.  As the landscape of that world continues to evolve, the impact on payer-provider relationships is changing almost daily, with important new health care options – such as the Accountable Care Act and the 2022 federal No Surprises Act – leading to new medical and behavioral care payment complexities. The experience of Emily Wey allows her to focus her support for clients on this mission-critical aspect of the delivery of health care: reimbursement in a complex system.

ABOUT EMILY WEY

Emily Wey, Health Care Payment Specialist

Emily Wey has specialized in health care reimbursement over the entire course of her 28-year career.  She first became interested in the delivery of health care while spending summers clerking at her father’s physician office; he was an interventional cardiologist in a large practice, and the experience allowed her a glimpse of the complexities of the back office support needed to provide health care services. Following law school, Emily pursued her specialization in health care law by working at several Washington, D.C. health care law firms; she broadened that experience by serving as in house counsel at a large specialty provider and a large health care plan.  Most recently, Emily led a large firm practice group of health care attorneys specializing in health care payment and disputes, before starting her own firms to specialize in health care reimbursement, as well as serving as an arbitrator to resolve health care disputes. Given her extensive experience, you can feel confident in contacting Emily Wey for your legal and reimbursement health care issues.
